The more substantive change is the betting menu: 2500 ships with an expanded set of ante bet modes and multiple feature-buy options rather than the single 100x purchase of earlier titles.
Is it worth switching?
Honestly, for most players, no. When the max win and RTP are unchanged, raising the bomb ceiling redistributes probability within the tail rather than adding anything to it. The number in the title is larger; the money is in the same place.
