Sweet Bonanza launched in June 2019 and became the reference point for an entire category of candy-themed slots. It has no paylines. Instead it uses scatter pays: land eight or more of the same symbol anywhere across the 6×5 grid and it pays, regardless of position. Winning symbols then vanish, new ones drop into the gaps, and the sequence repeats until a drop produces no win — the tumble mechanic that gives a single spin the ability to keep paying.
The base game is deliberately quiet. Nearly all of the top-end potential sits in the free spins round, where multiplier bombs worth between 2x and 100x land on the grid, persist through the tumbles, and are then summed and applied to the whole sequence.
